NRF has launched a water tank installation and refilling programme in Yemen to address the clean water crisis directly and consistently.
We have installed water tanks in three orphanages in Sana’a, the capital city. We refill these tanks with clean, safe drinking water on a weekly basis. This ensures that the children living in these orphanages have reliable access to safe water every single day.
But our work does not stop at orphanages. NRF also refills water tanks in impoverished urban areas of Yemen, providing clean water to destitute families who have no other source. These are people living in neighbourhoods where the water infrastructure has been destroyed by the conflict. They have no means to access clean water on their own.
