Our Origin Story
How It All Began
Long before Noor Relief Fund was formally established, the work had already begun.
For over two decades, our founders supported orphans and vulnerable families across Iraq, quietly and consistently. What started as a personal commitment to a handful of children grew into something much larger: a network of care spanning multiple countries, touching thousands of lives.
In 2021, that commitment became official. Noor Relief Fund was founded in London to bring structure, scale, and sustainability to a mission that had been running for 20 years. We registered as a charity not to start something new, but to strengthen what already existed.
Today, NRF operates across Iraq, Pakistan, Yemen, and East Africa. We support orphaned children with monthly sponsorship. We build water wells in drought-stricken villages. We deliver food, medical aid, education, and housing to families with nowhere else to turn.
We are still the same people who started this journey two decades ago. The difference now is that we can reach further, do more, and bring you along with us.

Trust is Our Primary Currency
We are honest about our costs. A small portion of donations goes towards administration, staff, and generating further income. We do not claim a 100% donation policy because honesty matters more than a marketing headline. For every £1 we receive, around 11p goes towards raising further funds, effectively multiplying your donation.
We keep you informed. Every donor receives project reports. Orphan sponsors receive personal updates with photographs every 6 to 12 months.
We are registered and regulated. NRF is registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales and the Fundraising Regulator.
